Side Quests, by C.

May you be persuaded into pursuing novelty.

HI, FRIEND!
I am in the midst of my 1-year experiment of side quests.
"What is it?" This 20-something year old (me) craved reprieve from the uncertainties and ocassionally-dreary routines of adulthood. How did I do that? Seeking out novelty. Create new things. Learn new skills. Visit new places. I had known this, but excuses were quick to find: too tired, prioritize your career, costs, blah blah. And when I did finally start on a project? The shame of slow progression stopped ANY progress: "How dare I not know how to change my tires, after I watch one tutorial??!! Guess car repair just isn't for me!"
All you fresh grads, mid-life crisis folks, people-in-boredom, and recovering-perfectionists understand me.
I felt that 5-year old me would scream: Stop being boring! Experiment!! Get messy!! PLAY!! THEN YOU WON'T FEEL SO SAD!!
Ehem... I suppose this is my long-winded way of saying: Welcome to the chaos of my Side Quests. I ask questions like: What activities am I curious about? Does this one elevate my life? Do I take joy at being a beginner at this?
If so inclined, try a few things too. You may enjoy it.
